THE COALITION OF BLACK HOUSE MUSEUMS

The phrase “United we stand, divided we fall” is a phrase we are all familiar with. There is strength in numbers.

Together we can work to encourage respect for and preservation of Black culture that has occurred in every city, on everyday blocks throughout America. Together we can work towards the common goal of Owning, Monetizing and Preserving the rich stories of Black people who influenced and contributed to urban centers throughout America. As these urban communities are gentrified, our goal is to help ensure that our history is recognized, preserved, and respected. The Coalition of Black House Museums is an Advocacy group that was formed in response to the threat of the extinction of this important segment of Black history.
